🔒 Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to get food to your door — your name, contact info, delivery address, and order history. We never sell your data. Card numbers go straight to our payment processors, not to us. Sensitive information we do hold (like ID photos for age verification) is encrypted. You can reach us any time about your data at support@georgiadelivers.com.
1. Who we are
Georgia Delivers ("we", "us") is a local restaurant delivery service operating in North Georgia. This policy describes what personal information we collect through our website and apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. What we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, username, and a securely hashed password. If you choose to verify your age for alcohol purchases, we also collect your date of birth.
- Delivery addresses — the addresses you enter, plus their map coordinates so we can confirm you're inside a delivery zone and estimate delivery times.
- Order history — what you ordered, when, from which restaurant, and any special instructions you include.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processors (Authorize.net, PayPal/Venmo, and Square for Cash App Pay). We never see or store your full card number. Processors give us a secure token so you can re-use a saved payment method; we store only that token and the card's last digits/brand.
- ID photos (alcohol orders only) — if you order alcohol, we require a photo of a government ID to verify you are 21 or older. ID images are encrypted at rest, reviewed by automated checks plus a human when needed, and used only for age verification.
- Support conversations — messages and any screenshots you send our support team.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy) used for sign-in sessions, security, and rate-limiting.
- Driver location — if you are one of our drivers, your GPS location while you are on shift, used to dispatch orders and show customers delivery progress.
3. How we use it
- To take, prepare, deliver, and charge for your orders.
- To show you live order status and delivery tracking.
- To verify age for alcohol purchases, as required by law.
- To send transactional messages — order confirmations, password reset links, receipt and tip emails, and verification codes by text message.
- To send marketing email (news, promotions) — only with an unsubscribe link in every message; opting out never affects order emails.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the platform secure.
4. Who we share it with
- Restaurants — receive your order details, first name, and delivery notes needed to prepare your food.
- Our delivery drivers — receive your name, address, phone number, and order details for deliveries assigned to them.
- Payment processors — receive payment details to charge your order (their own privacy policies apply).
- Service providers — email and text-message delivery services, and mapping providers used to locate addresses.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our customers, drivers, or staff.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
5. How long we keep it
Account and order records are kept while your account is active and as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. ID verification images are retained only as long as needed to establish verified status. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).
6. How we protect it
- All traffic to and from our site uses HTTPS encryption.
- Sensitive stored fields (such as ID images) are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
- Passwords are stored only as one-way bcrypt hashes — we cannot read them.
- Staff access is role-restricted and actions are audit-logged.
7. Your choices & rights
- Access & correction — view and edit your profile and addresses in your account, or ask us for a copy of your data.
- Deletion — request account deletion at support@georgiadelivers.com. We'll remove personal data not required for legal or accounting retention.
- Marketing opt-out — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Cookies — controllable in your browser; see the Cookie Policy.
8. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Alcohol purchases require verified age 21+.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
